About Friendsville

Quakers founded Friendsville from New Garden, North Carolina, who settled in the area in the 1790s and is still home to a Friends Meetinghouse.  Located in Blount County, Tennessee, along State Route 333 stretching from Ft. Loudon Lake in the north to U.S. 321 in the south, Friendsville is close to the Great Smoky Mountains National Park and the greater metropolitan Knoxville area but still maintains the warm, welcoming, small-town atmosphere its residents hold dear.
